Transport
Upon application through the school, free train and bus passes may be obtained for children who live in excess of 1.6km from school for primary ages children, with no distance limitation for infant children. Passes are permitted for regular travellers only. An occasional possible use does not constitute a regular traveller.
Passes should be attached to cases. In event of a lost bus pass, parents are required to deal directly with the bus company and pay the necessary fee for a replacement pass. If any difficulty is experienced with any bus company, parents are requested to negotiate through the school as a good working relationship with these companies is vital to our transport system. NOTE: The above services are available under the present State Government policy, but may be revised at any time. Shorelink have bus routes to and from the school from Hornsby (San Link), Thornleigh, and Turramurra Railway Stations.Children catching these buses are well supervised by teachers to ensure their safe journey. AttendanceStudents are expected to attend and participate in all classes. Because of legal requirements the school requires a written reason for every period of absence. Students arriving after classes have commenced must be accompanied to class. Parents, Volunteers & VisitorsFor our students and visitors safety, all parents, volunteers and visitors entering the school between the hours of 9:00am – 2:30pm (Friday 2:15pm) must report to the school office and obtain a visitors pass and sign the register. When leaving please remember to sign out and return the pass. Parents, volunteers & visitors must not enter the staffroom or any offices or classrooms unless authorized by staff.
