Discipline

Home :: Student Handbook :: Discipline

No school can function successfully, harmoniously, and happily, without discipline and order. It is therefore expected that students at this school will demonstrate such          deportment and behaviour as this will enhance their own self esteem and uplift the school's standing in the community in which we live.

Wahroonga Adventist School has a comprehensive discipline policy which complies with the NSW Education Reform amendment, 1995. The focus of the discipline policy is to achieve excellence in behaviour through positive discipline procedures.

Whilst at school each pupil is expected to do his/her best in all aspects of the school programme, be that academic, physical, spiritual or social.

Orderly conduct is expected at all times, including travelling to and from school. Coarse and noisy behaviour is contrary to Christian standards.

Students who disobey school rules will be given an in school detention.  If a student   displays inappropriate behaviours their parents will be notified immediately.  A record is kept of all discipline  issues that may arise.

The school’s Discipline Committee may be called to determine appropriate strategies if a student  continually misbehaves.
