School CouncilThe Wahroonga Adventist School is operated by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd, an organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The direct administration of the school is delegated to a School Council appointed by the company Board, with the advice of representatives elected by each constituent church. The following persons comprise the local school council: nine members representing churches and selected by the Board of Directors, the school principal, and at least one representative at each meeting from the Board of Directors. The School Council usually meets on a monthly basis during school term. The Principal, who is the Secretary of the Council should be notified of any matter which should be brought to the Council's attention. Home & School AssociationThe Wahroonga Home & School Association is a committee of parents and teachers selected by the School Council. Their activities include:- - Promotion of a sense of community
- Work to raise funds to provide the school with additional facilities and equipment
- Assist the school with the organisation and running of special events
- Encourage discussion between parents and teachers regarding school policy issues
- Advance the cause of Christian education in the home and school
- Foster understanding, appreciation and co-operation between teachers and parents
- Support the School Council with its aims and objectives
Student CouncilThe students are represented by a team of student members chosen from years 3 - 6. The Student Council assists with general duties at the school and discusses matters of special interest to the student body. The Student Council consists of School Principal, Teacher representative, two year 3, two year 4, two year 5 and four year 6 students
